Shaheer's Miles
I've been running for almost a decade, and this site highlights the moments that shaped my passion.
Running to me is more than just a hobby. It's a way of escaping the stress and worry of everyday life. After I finish every run, my mind becomes clearer, and all of a sudden, any worries I had before don't seem so intense anymore, and I can better tackle them.
I didn't take a lot of photos during my earlier races, so most of the images here are either selfies or snapshots taken from the official race photographers. I hope these highlights inspire a sense of persistence, resilience, and joy in anyone who reads them.

Every race, in order
From a rainy first 10K in 2018 to chasing half marathons through Chicago winters — here's every race that's shaped this running journey.

Chicago Rock 'n' Roll 10K
"And just like that, I felt like I could take on the world."
Chicago Rock 'n' Roll Half
"At that moment, I was grateful I wasn't running the Chicago Marathon the same year."

Fox Valley Winter Trail
"A very, very, cold race."

HOKA Chicago Half
"5 years later, and it is still the largest medal I currently have."

LifeTime Turkey Trot
"Shockingly, no turkeys took part in this race."

F3 Lake Half Marathon
"This race officially introduced me to the Chicago Booth Running Club."

LifeTime Chicago Spring Half
"I 'carb-loaded' with a bagel that morning and thought it was enough."
Under Armour Chicago 10K
"I did not account for the summer heat, and I was already panting by the 6th K."

Ragnar Trail Rainier
"I ran 7 miles down the mountain surrounded by densely packed trees, in pitch darkness — and couldn't help smiling throughout."

F3 Lake Half Marathon
"Even though I wasn't able to run the full half-marathon, I was able to beat my previous record by fifteen minutes. So that's something, I guess."
